Mar 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Layla Grace Marsh, who was known all over the world thanks to Twitter, passed away on Tuesday, Mar 9, 2010. She succumbed to the deadly illness of Neuroblastoma, after battling it for two years. For these two years. her life has literally been tracked in Twitter, thanks to her parents, who used the popular community networking site to ask for help, both psychological and medical, regarding their daughter’s illness. They also used the site to keep the world informed of the ups and down they encountered while trying to cure their daughter of the illness.

Layla Grace Marsh suffered from the lethal disease of Neuroblastoma. The illness occurs mainly in children and infants, and is manifested in the form of a cancerous tumor in the tissues of the nerve. It is one of the commonest forms of cancer that afflicts a child. Generally, it occurs in the adrenal glands. Layla Grace Marsh suffered from stage four high risk Neuroblastoma. She was only two years old at the time of her death. She passed away on the morning of Tuesday.

Needless to say, the death of Layla Grace Marsh has touched hearts throughout the world, just as her story and her battle with the terminal illness had. Tweets flew in as the news of the death of the two year old girl spread, with celebrities such as Eva Longoria and Ryan Seacrest tweeting their condolences. Meanwhile, a charity program was held in the Chuy’s Mexican Restaurant. All the funds collected are being sent to the bereaved family, who are making preparations for the deceased girl.
