Washington, Apr 29, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Laura Bush, the former First Lady and wife to George W. Bush, has come up with her memoir, titled ‘Spoken From The Heart’. In the book, she gives some very astonishing details that of her life as First Lady, facts which had hitherto not been given out by anyone. For example, she speaks about the most intriguing chapter of her teenage when she had crashed through a red light, thus resulting in a grievous car accident, which had killed her friend who had been in the car with her. This incident has been one of the most widely researched topics in recent times, but this is the first time that the First Lady herself has spoken about it. Other than this, the book also contains the intriguing prospect of her being poisoned once, along with the President.
The First Lady mentions in ‘Spoken From The Heart’ that it was during the G8 Summit that she and the then President had possibly fallen victim to an attempt at poisoning. The book mentions that they were attending an official dinner at a Baltic Sea Resort. The next morning, all those who had attended the dinner, including the President, herself and some aides, were taken violently ill.
Laura Bush further mentions that although the members of the Secret Service undertook a thorough investigation into the matter, they were not able to conclude or prove anything. The doctors said that it was some virus, and it was never known to the First Lady and the rest of the troop if they were the only ones to have fallen prey to the illness.
