Washington DC, Apr 29 (THAINDIAN NEWS) In her new book – ‘Spoken for the Heart’, Laura Bush alleges that there was a poisoning episode during their visit to Germany, for the G8 summit in 2007. She claims that her husband and numerous aides were victims. She says that she is sure about it, because her husband George W. Bush became very severely ill and that too, all of a sudden. His situation was so bad that, he was completely bedridden. The doctors and even the Secret Service agents talked about the possibility about poisoning, but since they couldn’t come up with any conclusive proof, so the episode was kept under wraps.
During the G8 summit in Germany in 2007, the media had also reported that the United States President George W. Bush was not present in many critical meetings, because he was down with an ‘apparent virus.’ But the White House didn’t disclose the poisoning episode at all.
“Nearly a dozen members of our delegation were stricken, even George, who started to feel sick during an early morning staff briefing. [O]ne of our military aides had difficulty walking and a White House staffer lost all hearing in one ear. Exceedingly alarmed, the Secret Service went on full alert, combing the resort for potential poisons,” Mrs. Laura Bush wrote in her book.
