Latest Episode Of CBS’ “60 Minutes” Features 7th Century Shipwreck

nbobnJune 14, (THAINDIAN NEWS) CBS Television news magazine “60 Minutes” is known for it investigative stories with interesting turn of events that keeps the viewers asking for more.

This fact was reinforced once again on Sunday night when the show featured the renowned explorer Robert Ballard and one of his most intriguing underwater adventures.

Last night’s episode of “60 Minutes” included updates of a 7th century shipwreck which was found between the Aegean and Mediterranean seas and was discovered by Robert Ballard when the CBS team accompanied him in the mission. The discovery of the ancient shipwreck was aired for the first time in the month of November last year while last night’s episode provided some interesting updates about the findings.

The moment when the highly acclaimed explorer finds the shipwreck was captured by CBS correspondent Lara Logan and her crew who had accompanied Robert Ballard off the coast of Turkey when he made the amazing discovery.

With skyrocketing anticipation, Robert Ballad and his team probe the shipwreck to find clues about it. It comes to light that the wreck has been well-preserved with archaeologists hoping that the clues from the wreck can give revealing insights about the maritime history during the 7th century.

Apart from the 7th century shipwreck that was discovered by Robert Ballard and was featured on CBS’ “60 Minutes,” the explorer is also known to have made few of the greatest underwater discoveries which includes the Bismarck as well as the famous PT 109 which was commanded by John F. Kennedy during the Second World War.

However, Robert Ballard is best known to have been involved in the discovery of Titanic.
