hula-hoop ban Las Vegas, Aug 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Las Vegas is contemplating a ban on the hula-hoops, as they feel that it is a public menace. And apparently that is not all, the government also feels that other street favorites such as jugglers and bullhorns need to be brought under control as well.

The authorities are basically against the Fremont Street Experience district, which is a large region in which a public pedestrian mall is located. According to reports by the AOL News, the government authorities in the sin city are basically trying to take over two unregulated zones of the ‘Fremont Street Experience’. Since a long time many entertainers and performers have performed in these zones, even though they are not authorized to do so and neither are they licensed as well.

And this is not the first time that the Las Vegas authorities have tried to control these free zones. They have previously attempted twice in the past, but both the times they have failed to bring out the regulations to do so. However if this time around they succeed then they are certainly going to sound the death knell of the ‘free expression zones’ in LA.

According to LA City Councilman Stavros Anthony, “Apparently there are Hula-Hoop people. These aren’t little Hula-Hoops. They’re big Hula-Hoops.”
