Arkansas, May 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Senator Blanche Lincoln was helped by the Union leaders which made her secure her derivative’s position and that’s a direct quote from the Union labors office. Well apart from the legislation issues, the incumbent senator shall be facing a run off against Democrat Arkansas’s lieutenant governor Bill Halter. Reportedly, the voters of Arkansas headed off to the polls to offer their stamp of approval for the one who they think shall carry the banner this time. All eyes will be glued upon June 8 when the Senator faces the run off.
To spur up the situation, the Labor Unions have expressed their disapproval against Senator Blanche Lincoln’s attitude towards Employee Free Choice Act. As a matter of fact this is one act that is said to be highly beneficial for all labor unions to form associations. The real surprise element however came from Senator Blanche Lincoln who went ahead to introduce her derivatives amendment. The move is said to be a major one as she happens to be the Senate Agriculture Committee Chairwoman and her panel had already witnessed the existence of a huge array of banks.
Eddie Vale who happens to be a spokesman for AFL-CIO told the media that it is one of the most significant moves that has been made by the Senator ahead of the run off scheduled on July 8. Speaking on the same line was Services International Union spokeswoman Lorri Lodes who said that without the support of the Union leaders it would have been impossible for the senator to have come out with such a strong amendment on derivatives. Blanche Lincoln’s derivative’s amendment will create pressure upon the banks for a derivative operation spin-off which shall be a severe blow as it encourages huge loss of dollars.
