Klingon Christmas Carol to be staged soon in Chicago

Chicago, Dec 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Star Trek fans should be ready to be entertained this Christmas.

Coming up on their way is the Star Trek version of Charles Dickens’s “A Christmas Carol.” The production will be held at a Chicago theater and it will be in the thingan Hol language with English subtitles.

The thingan Hol language is really incredible. It was first developed by Marcc Okrand in 1984 for the production of “Star Trek III: The Search for Spock.” The language has since then become a trend of sorts, with handful of people learning and using it.

On the show itself, it is about an alien’s quest to save another alien. In the show, the alien is visited by three ghosts on the Klingon planet of Kronos. The period of the movie is set at the period during the Feast of the Long Night. One the night, it will be determined if the three ghosts can help save the ailing alien.

The writer of the show, Christopher O. Kidder revealed that those that cannot speak or understand the thingan Hol language shouldn’t worry because they are bound to enjoy the show as well.
