Fort Hood, Nov 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Kimberly Munley is the brave civilian police officer who shot at the Fort Hood rampage shooter Maj. Malik Nadal Hasan and wounded him enough to put an end to the shooting spree, that left 13 dead and dozens injured and 6 battling for their lives in the ICU.
Lt. Gen. Robert Cone said that, “officer Kimberly Munley and her partner “responded very quickly. … She, in an exchange of gunfire, she was wounded — but wounded the shooter four times.” It was “really a pretty amazing and aggressive performance by this police officer.”
Cone said that, “Munley and her partner responded within three minutes of reported gunfire on yesterday afternoon. Munley had been directing traffic moments before she confronted the gunman”. “It was an amazing and an aggressive performance by this police officer,” Cone said. “She walked up and engaged him,” he said. He praised her as “one of our most impressive young police officers”.
The 34-year old Kimberly Munley is from Enola and she herself, is wounded and is hospitalized, though her condition is said to be stable.
