KFC’s ‘Double Down’ burger to be sold in New Zealand

Wellington, May 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) New Zealanders are bracing themselves up for the introduction of KFC’s “Double Down” in the country. In a press release which was posted on the website of the famous restaurant, KFC said Double Down will be in New Zealand today (10th of May 2011.)

The diet was introduced in Australia in March. KFC says the diet is going to be available for a limited time when it is introduced. The introduction of the bun-less burger has been met with so much anticipation by some New Zealanders. A Facebook page which has been dedicated to the meal has at least 2,236 members. The meal comes in two types- the burger will cost $7.90 and the combo will be available for $10.90.

According to KFC, the Double Down features double of everything except the bun. KFC’s New Zealand website explained what the Double Down contains. The website states that the Double Down has “two delicious fresh Original Recipe chicken fillets seasoned with KFC’s 11 secret herbs and spices, two slices of bacon and two slices of cheese (one standard, one cracked pepper), all topped off with the Colonel’s special sauce.”

The meal will be sold available for five weeks when it is introduced in the country.
