Middlesex, New Jersey, Jan 6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) For New Jersey, sixth-grader Kelly Zierdt, this is a mistake that she would surely never repeat again in her life. The Middlesex Township Middle School student was just having pure fun with her some of her friends outside their school building by inking their names on wet cement. However, the group of school student were in for a bad luck as just when they were carving their initials on the wet cement, police officers who was passing by caught them red-handed. The school students were taken to the police department where their parents were informed about the incident.
Middlesex Police Department officer Lt. Mike Colacci said that almost all the parents of the students agreed to pay the fine immediately and also signed an agreement calling for a suitable punishment for the kids to make sure that they learn a lesson and do not repeat the mistake. However, Kelly Zierdt’s father refused to shell out the fine amount or sign the agreement as he believed that the entire situation ‘has snowballed into this giant catastrophe.’ As per the agreement, the parents of the students would have to pay $250 each owing to the fact that the school district had to shell out $1,500 to renovate the stabs of cement.
Kelly Zierdt would now have to face a judge owing to his father Harry Zierdt’s refusal to pay the fine as he wants to see the bill validating the actual amount of renovation before he pays the amount. The court hearing in which the sixth grader would be facing the judge is scheduled to take place on Monday.
