Keith Johnson arrested for deadly Buffalo, NY shooting spree that killed four

BUFFALO, NEW YORK (BNO NEWS) – An arrest was made on Saturday after a deadly shooting rampage in Buffalo, New York outside a restaurant that left four people dead and four others wounded, WIVB News reported.

The Buffalo Police Homicide Squad detectives have arrested Keith Johnson, 25, and have charged him with four counts of murder in the second degree. He was arrested by a SWAT team during the late morning hours, and he was booked on late Saturday afternoon for his part in the shooting that killed two men and two women, as well as injuring four other men. One of the wounded is in critical condition, the others are stable.

At the time of the shooting, there was a party honoring a married couple at the restaurant. The 30-year-old husband is one of the dead at the scene.

Investigators are looking into reports that there was at least one incident inside the restaurant and then one individual was escorted outside of the establishment. At around 2:30 a.m. local time, someone began firing a gun from the east side of the street, from a parking lot, and the shots hit eight people and killed four. Three were dead on the scene and one was rushed to a hospital, where he died.

Police say that there were possibly over 100 people that witnessed the shooting spree, and that details are still sketchy. Police officials urged anyone who has any information to come forward immediately. There was no information on why Johnson would’ve committed the shootings, or if he was tied to the wedding.
