Paris, June 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Karl Lagerfeld’s beautiful white Siamese cat, Choupette, is currently receiving media attention. The animal, which has recently become the favorite cat in the world of fashion, has now launched her own Twitter account.

The cat allegedly has two personal maids. Since she launched her twitter account 24 hours ago, King Karl’s pampered princess Choupette has already over 1800 followers.

Lagerfeld is one of Germany’s best-known fashion designers. Based in Paris, he has worked as head designer and creative director for Chanel. Lagerfield has been at the centre of several controversies during his professional career.

In the 1990s, he used a verse from the Qur’an in one of Chanel collections. He later claimed that he borrowed the design from a book believing that the sentences came from romantic poetry.

In 2001, animal rights activists from PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) threw tofu pies to protest of the designer’s use of real fur within his collections. The pies erroneously hit Calvin Klein, designer who is known for not using fur. He later used fake fur in his 2010 Chanel collection, after claiming that fake fur is now impossible to distinguish from real fur.
