August 1, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): NATO enunciated on Friday that six additional American soldiers have been liquidated in Afghanistan. This has brought the demise toll of Americans in July to no less than 66. This number has gone beyond the record of the month of June as the deadliest for the American services in the almost 9-year-old Afghan war.

In Kabul, the Afghan capital, the police let off guns into the air on Friday to disband a throng of fuming Afghans, who screamed ‘death to America.’ These protestors chucked stones and ignited two automobiles. The reason for their fury was that an SUV was caught up in a traffic mishap that liquidated four Afghans on the major airport road. This SUV was being propelled by American contract workers. This data was divulged by Kabul’s head of criminal investigations, Abdul Ghaafar Sayedzada.

A declaration discharged by the US Embassy in Kabul mentioned that an automobile transporting four American contract personnel was caught up in a two-car mishap in close proximity to the airport.

The Embassy articulated that its empathies are extended to the families of those Afghans, who have been injured and slaughtered in this heartrending mishap.

Onlookers mentioned that the foreigners escaped from the scene. Nevertheless, the embassy uttered that the contractors were working together with local Afghan security forces.

The Afghan police officers closed in on the area with some possessing riot shields. They let off warning shots into the air to dissolve the livid protesters.

Sayedzada mentioned that the throng burned two automobiles of the foreigners. This made intense black smoke emerge from the scene.
