Julianna Farrait Arrested Under Narcotics Law

Puerto Rico, May 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Juliana Farrait-Rodriguez, formerly Mrs. Frank Lucas, was taken into custody on Thursday by the Drug Enforcement Administration under charges of illegally handling cocaine in Isla Verde Carolina, Puerto Rico. The ex-beauty queen has in the recent past taken up the job which her husband indulged in in the past. She was caught selling two kilograms of cocaine in the streets of Puerto Rico, this cocaine supposedly being transferred to the streets of New York to be sold there.
Frank Lucas was known for his dealings in drugs for which he has also served a term of 40 years behind bars starting from 1975 extending to 1991. Juliana Farrait also had to serve a term of five years in this sentence. It is said that the drug dealer met Juliana Farrait at a nightclub and went on to marry her later. The film “American Gangster” based on the life of Frank Lucas, had Denzel Washington playing the lead.
After Juliana Farrait was taken to court on being arrested on Thursday, she supposedly had nothing to say to the judges during her hearing apart from a request to speak to her in Spanish. The case is still pending in court and it is yet to be decided whether Juliana Farrait will be given bail or not. As the beauty queen was caught moving the 4 pounds of cocaine, she will be charged in court with violating the narcotics law of the country. As of yet no plea has been made by Juliana Farrait or her representatives in the court of Puerto Rico.
