van-der-sloot Lima, July 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Joran van der Sloot, the Dutchman who is accused of killing a Peruvian business student in Peru has sued the lawyer, who represented him during his interrogation by the police.

Van der Sloot has also sued the chief of police in the country - Col. Miguel Canila. His current lawyer, Maximo Altez on Friday, filed the charges.

During his interrogation by the police in which Sloot is alleged to have confessed to the killing of Stephany Flores, he was represented by Luz Romero Chinchay. Chinchay was appointed by the police to represent the accused during the interrogation.

However Sloot’s current lawyer says the name of Chinchay cannot be found anywhere in the country’s public defenders list. What this means is that Chinchay was not qualified to represent Sloot during the interrogation.

Joran van der Sloot is 22 years old and he is a Dutchman, who should have been arrested in the United States. He is the main suspect in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. However, the US authorities said they did not have enough evidence at the time to arrest him.

The main obstacle in his arrest, according to the US authorities was that the body of Holloway was not found. Sloot however escaped to Peru after collecting money from the FBI with the pretense of showing the authorities Holloway’s body. His luck however ran out when he was arrested later for the murder of Stephany Flores. Stephany’s badly bruised body was found in his hotel room.
