Joran van der Sloot July 1 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Joran van der Sloot is behind bars in a Peruvian prison, and yet the 22 year old “gamblin man” is still trying to wheel and deal his way into being a millionaire, as he is in hopes that he can land a million dollar television deal in exchange for a sit down interview.

Sources at the Castro Castro prion where van der Sloot has sat ever since he was arrested in June for the murder of 21 year old Stephany Flores, van der Sloot has been actively trying to score a deal with the media for an on camera interview at the price of a cool million. So far, no one is taking the bait, according to the source.

Even in prison, being a millionaire could be very beneficial to the Dutchman, according to a former FBI agent turned ‘ABC News’ consultant, Brad Garrett. In an interview with ‘Good Morning America, Brad stated, “It gives him more power in prison, his ability to buy things, his ability to manipulate other inmates to get whatever he wants – being a taker.”

The news of van der Sloot’s newest money making scheme comes just after the alleged killer was indicted by a United States Federal Grand Jury for trying to sell the details of Natalie Holloway’s remains to her grieving family. Natalie has been missing ever since her 2005 spring break trip to Aruba, and van der Sloot was the last person to see her alive. He has long been the prime suspect in her disappearance, but her remains have never been found.

According to the indictment, van der Sloot’s plot was told to the police, who tried to turn around and use the deal against him. Beth Twitty, attorney for Natalie Holloway’s mother gave van der Sloot ten thousand in cash, and wired fifteen thousand to his Netherlands back account on May 10. He was allegedly asking for an additional $225,000 once Holloway’s remains were identified. The area which he dictated, however, was fake and no remains were found. Soon after, he was arrested for the murder of Flores.
