Joran van der Sloot Amsterdam, Feb 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) According to a report by BNO News, Joran van der Sloot, the Dutch who was suspected in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, an American student, confessed that he dumped her body in a marsh in Aruba. This confession reportedly came in an interview with a television journalist, and was reported by a Dutch newspaper.

Over two years ago, van der Sloot made a similar confession, while under investigation by Dutch crime reporter Peter.R. deVries, but the prosecutors stated that this did not constitute new legal evidence.

In a story by BNO News, as reported by “De Telegraaf” Newspaper, van der Sloot is very frightened of being prosecuted, but admits that he did dispose of the body in the marsh. A chief prosecutor in Aruba confirmed the story, but they feel that van der Sloot could possibly be making up many different stories, with enough similarities to hide what really happened.

Although the confession did open up a new investigation, Chief Prosecutor Peter Blanken feels that it is “Held together by lies and fantasy” and added, ““Times are wrong and named witnesses have denied.” He also said that if the body actually was dumped there, the chances of ever finding her would be very small, as nothing would be left but bones, and a plastic shoe.

Natalee Holloway disappeared on May 30, 2005 during a senior trip to Aruba. Although the media became involved worldwide, her body was never recovered.
