john3Oct. 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A twenty four year old was arrested on the charges of murdering University of Connecticut football player Howard Jasper. Jasper was killed hours after his win in a game. He was present in the university campus when the incident occurred. A student dance was being presented, when the fire alarm went off. In the ruckus that followed, a fight broke out between two groups. When the clamor had subsided, Howard was found on the floor, bleeding. He had been stabbed. He was rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

It was believed that there were two people involved in the murder. Police charged John William Lomax Three on Tuesday with conspiracy and first degree assault on the football player. He is twenty one years old and hails from Bloomfield, in Connecticut. His bail has been set at two million dollars. According to his lawyer, Deron Freeman, Lomax is not a student of the University of Connecticut. He had gone to the University to attend the party that was being held. Freeman has explained the unfortunate incident as an accident. According to him, Lomax was merely attempting to break up the fight that had broken out. Freeman stressed that the fight had ended with Jasper’s murder and that Lomax had no hand in it.

Along with Lomax, Hakim Muhammad has been charged with conspiracy of murder and Jamal Todd has been charged with reckless misbehavior and false reporting of an incident. The latter had allegedly pulled the fire alarm that set off the fight. The police have not yet been able to build up any conclusive case, but they are investigating with over forty investigators.
