San Francisco, Oct 12 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Joe Scarborough and Rush Limbaugh kept their backbiting and commenting on each other’s comments saga alive in full form.

Rush Limbaugh had said that, Colin Powell is a liberal. Joe Scarborough poked fun at this statement with “When I hear Rush Limbaugh and others calling Colin Powell a ‘liberal’ I just have to laugh because there is nothing liberal about Colin Powell’s approach towards foreign policy,” he said. “So what is a conservative? A conservative conserves taxpayer dollars. A conservative doesn’t engage in military adventurism. A conservative doesn’t add seven trillion dollars to entitlement programs that are already going bankrupt. A conservative shows restraint.”


Joe carried the saga forward when he said that ‘Limbaugh’s joy over Chicago’s Olympics failure isn’t helpful to the Republican party.’

Limbaugh said Scarborough was doing his “best impression of a neutered chickified moderate” when he spoke out against him.

“This can’t be helpful for our political process for Limbaugh to be laughing with glee that Obama failed in Copenhagen,” Limbaugh said breathlessly, imitating Scarborough, to the T.

On a morning’s edition of Morning Joe, Scarborough and the Brew Crew had the following exchange:

JOE SCARBOROUGH, “Morning Joe” host: Kathleen, let’s – let’s also talk about the Republican Party.

KATHLEEN PARKER, syndicated columnist: Let’s do. Joe, you are running for President, right?

SCARBOROUGH: Well, apparently if I do I don’t have Rush Limbaugh’s vote, he questioned my manhood.

LAWRENCE O’DONNELL, MSNBC political analyst: He is a little late in the game on questioning your manhood, by the way.

SCARBOROUGH: Well, I think it’s ironic. I was just saying, I think it’s fascinating, you’ve got all these people that sat there and said nothing while Republicans darted recklessly left with their spending, and suddenly they are the arbiters of who’s conservative. And you can only be conservative by being intolerant, by waving your arms around, by screaming, by calling the President a racist or a Nazi or a communist. Come on!
