Mar 18 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The blonde haired, blue eyed Pennsylvania woman known as “Jihad Jane” has plead “not guilty” today to charges of providing materials and support to terrorists, and of conspiring to commit murder in a foreign country.

Colleen LaRose, 49, appeared in a Pennsylvania Federal Court to face the accusations against her such as plotting with others on the World Wide Web to kill a Swedish cartoonist, Lars Vilks. The cartoonist had drawn a picture of the prophet Mohammed in a way which offended the Muslims. LaRose was arrested on October 16, 2009 as she returned to Philadelphia from a trip to Europe, where they say she had hoped to make good on her threat to “kill in the name of Alla.” She had a four count federal indictment.

In emails, LaRose was said to have written, “I will make this my goal until I achieve it or die trying.” She allegedly trolled the internet and communicated with Islamic sources from all over the world. During her emails, and online messages, she also stated that she would marry a co-conspirator to help him get into Europe. In August of 09, she was apparently in Sweden, getting prepared to kill the cartoonist.

Seven other people were arrested in Ireland in connection with this plot on Tuesday. Irish police said that those who were taken into custody were 2 Libyans, 1 Palestinian, 1 Croatian, and an American woman who is married to an Algerian suspect. It is leaving many to wonder how terrorists can convince a tiny 5′2′ American female to join their ranks, and stray so far from what we, as Americans are supposed to stand for.
