Pennsylvania, Mar 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A Pennsylvania woman was so enamored with jihad and terrorism that she named herself ‘Jihad Jane,’ and was engrossed up to her neck in terrorist activities. She even plotted to commit a murder abroad. Her actual name is Colleen LaRose but she is also known as Fatima LaRose and she belongs to Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
Jihad Jane was charged with one count of conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists, one count of conspiracy to kill in a foreign country (besides the United Sates, which is her home country), one count of making false statements and one count of attempted identity theft, according to the U.S. Attorney Michael Levy. This unique case also “demonstrates that terrorists are looking for Americans to join them in their cause, and it shatters any lingering thought that we can spot a terrorist based on appearance,” Levy said. If she were convicted then she would remain behind bars for a long time, and also pay a hefty fine of $1 million.
Along with the Jihad Jane, there are 5 other co-conspirators also, who are based in South Asia, Eastern Europe and even Western Europe. They haven’t been indicted as yet. It was also known that the Jihad Jane used to recruit unsuspecting men and woman on the Internet, and make them her allies.
