Washington, Mar 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Colleen LaRose, better known as ‘Jihad Jane,’ has been charged with providing assistance to and conspiracy to plotting terror attacks in countries outside of the United States. She has also been charged with the killing of a citizen of Sweden in Europe, and the federal prosecutors have slapped a case of killing on foreign grounds on her. Moreover, she has also been charged with giving false testimony to a government official, and also of impersonation. If she is convicted of all the charges that she has been accused of, Colleen LaRose might have to face a lifetime in prison, and will also have to pay a fine of up to $1 million.
Colleen LaRose, who also used the alias of Fatima LaRose, and was also known by her pseudonym ‘Jihad Jane,’ had been arrested in the October of 209. However, she had not made any appeal, and in fact, had only appeared in court once since her arrest. Prosecutors believe that ‘Jihad Jane’ took the help of the internet in order to recruit possible militants, who then were employed to carry out terror attacks in countries outside the United States.
In fact, in one of the posts in the internet, ‘Jihad Jane’ had allegedly boasted that it was a thrilling experience for her to kill and terrorize in the name of jihad. The police believe that the case of ‘Jihad Jane’ shows that many of the terrorist groups might be employing or even organized by people like her, who act as decoys owing to their ability to “blend in.’ It also drives home the fact that potential terrorists could no longer be detected by persona or nationality alone.
