JetBlue flight forced to return to Newark after engine cover falls off during take-off

NEWARK, NEW JERSEY (THAINDIAN NEWS) — A JetBlue passenger plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Newark Liberty International Airport after the cover of an engine fell off during take-off, officials said.
A spokeswoman for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey confirmed the incident, which involved Jet Blue flight 507. The Airbus A320 took off at 6.18 a.m. EDT and turned around after it lost the cover of one of its engines.
The aircraft was scheduled to land at Hollywood International Airport in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at around 8.56 a.m. EDT.
There were no injuries, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is expected to investigate the accident.
