Jerseyville, IL woman pleads guilty in heroin overdose death
March 3rd, 2010 - 11:33 am ICT by BNO News ( Leave a comment )FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, ILLINOIS (BNO NEWS) – A Jerseyville, Illinois woman pleaded guilty on Tuesday to a federal indictment charging her one count of distribution of a controlled substance resulting in death.
Jamie E. Day, 25, admitted that she provided heroin to Kelby Willman at a party in Jerseyville. During the late evening hours of June 8-9, 2009, Willman injected himself and died. He was a 23-year-old resident of Elsah, Illinois.
Day faces a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, a fine of up to $1 million, a term of not more than 5 years of supervised release, and a special assessment of $100,000. Her sentence hearing is scheduled for June 4.
