James Holmes claims that he can’t remember the Batman killings
July 27th, 2012 - 9:36 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattColorado, July 27 (THAINDIAN NEWS) James Holmes, who is associated with the Colorado killings, said that he cannot remember any killings. It may be recalled that 12 people were killed in a theatre in Colorado and James Holmes is in trial at the moment.
He says that he does not remember the killings and he wonders why he is waiting for trial. Reports say that Holmes, who is 23 years old keeps asking guards at the prison where he is being held why he is there. The killings took place during the premier of a new Batman film.
Holmes is a former student who was doing his PhD in neuroscience. He is currently being held at the Arapahoe County Detention Center in Colorado and he complains that the food there is not good. He is being held in solitary as the center tries to protect him from possible vigilante justice that he might be subjected to by other inmates.
A worker at the prison says that James keeps complaining that his tummy hurts and the worker is surprised that he has the audacity of asking for good food after he killed twelve people. It is said that there are days when Holmes refuses to eat at all and when he does, he keeps picking at his food.
He is only let out of his solitary cells for one hour a day to exercise and authorities ensure that he wears a stab proof vest.
