October 4, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): The Paris Motor Show that was held last week proved to be a stupendous success all round. However, there were a few vehicles that grabbed the attention of one and all. The Jaguar C-X-75 concept was amazing to say the least. More so because it was an electric vehicle.

While most of us are already quite familiar with the concept of a sports car which is an electric vehicle too, something like the Tesla Motors, the Jaguar is certainly the one that has showcased a great design that of being green, at the motor show in Paris.

Some of the minute details are hard to digest as yet. Especially, the concept of the Jaguar C-X-75 doing 0-62mph in just 3 seconds. You certainly do not need gasoline to give in to your love of speed now.

The C-X75 makes use of the lithium ion battery which runs on electric motors, four in total. Each one of them will be used to power a wheel of the Jaguar C-X75. However, the car will be able to traverse a distance of 68 miles when it runs solely on battery.

The Business Wire also reported the announcement for the Autoweek’s Editor’s choice award for 2010. The ‘Best in Show’ award was grabbed by the Jaguar C-X-75 which left a number of Lotus vehicles as well as the Audi Quattro concept way behind.

The car had been reportedly designed to mark the 75th anniversary of the erstwhile British brand but the details regarding the launch of the car are yet to be released. People concerned with the increasing carbon footprints on our atmosphere would certainly like to go eco-friendly with the Jaguar C-X-75 now, but then they would most probably need to have very deep pockets in order to afford it. The price is likely to be around $200,000 if it is ever released for sale.
