Jack the Ripper’s knife finally found
November 4th, 2011 - 9:28 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLondon, Nov 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Sir John Williams popularly called Jack the Ripper committed one of the worst serial murders in the history of United Kingdom in the 19th century. For years, the murder weapon had never been seen but a relative has revealed that he has the blade.
Great-great-great-great nephew Tony Williams has published a picture of the alleged murder weapon in his book. Tony explained that the weapon was found hidden in the possessions of the Welsh surgeon who was the doctor of Queen Victoria.
Speaking about the discovery, the 49-year-old said that, “Why would he leave this behind? I am convinced that this is the knife used by Sir John Williams to murder those women. It is widely known that the person who carried out the killings would have had significant medical knowledge.”
Tony is convinced that the knife fit the description of the murder weapon that the investigators gave at the time of the murder.
Jack the Ripper carried out precision procedure on his victims. The murders took place between August to November of 1888. When the investigators got close to finding him, Jack escaped from Whitechapel where he committed the crimes to Wales. He helped opened the National Library of Wales and left substantial amount to the library when he died.
Sir John Williams died in October of 1926.
