JERUSALEM (BNO NEWS) — An Israeli man was killed in a terrorist stabbing attack in the West Bank on Wednesday, officials said.

The incident happened at the Tapuach Junction, south of the West Bank city of Nablus. According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the victim was in his car when he was approached by a Palestinian, who reached into the vehicle and stabbed him.

The victim initially tried to flee after being stabbed, but his car overturned. Rescue forces, IDF forces, and paramedics treated the victim and transported him to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Security forces took the suspect into custody after a security officer ran him over as he arrived at the scene, injuring him slightly. Israeli officials are calling the incident a terrorist attack.
