JERUSALEM (BNO NEWS) — An Israeli drone crashed on Thursday in northern Gaza and was later recovered by a military unit, the Israeli military said.

According to a military spokesperson, the unmanned plane, controlled by an IDF artillery unit on an information gathering mission, crashed due to a technical failure.

An Israeli military unit was sent to the scene and recovered the Rochev Hashamayim drone.

Israeli drones transmit photographs and video, allowing the Israeli army to locate Palestinian rocket launchers. Some of these aircraft are not carrying weapons.
