London, Feb 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A cat in the United Kingdom may be the loudest cat in the world.

The 12-year-old cat called Smokey can easily be the most annoying cat in the world as well because when it purrs the noise can reach a staggering 92 decibels. You will need an ear plug to be able to stand that noise because it is the same noise that a landing Boeing 737 aircraft makes.

Officials of the Guinness World Records have indicated that they are closely following the cat and would love to take the necessary steps to officially recognize the cat as the loudest in the world.

The animal belongs to Ruth and Mark Adams. They explained that most times Smokey does not need any incentive to purr. The animal would just start purring. Ruth admitted that sometimes the animal becomes annoying with her constant purring. The only time that Smokey gets quiet is when she is sleeping.

Ruth said that, “She even manages to purr while she eats. The only time she is quiet is when she is asleep. It’s either adorable or annoying, depending on what mood you’re in. You don’t even have to stroke her to start a purring session. Often she’ll do it for no reason.”
