cyber3Nov. 26, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Cyber Monday falls on the Monday after Thanksgiving. It is more like the online version of Black Friday. While on Thanksgiving and Black Friday the retailers offer discounts and free gifts on various purchases, Cyber Monday sees the online stores offering those same items at an even better price. Online stores like Macy’s and Walmart provide items at great prices. However, a recent study has given birth to a lot of speculation regarding the validity of this sale.

Considering that most of the households have access to the internet nowadays, there has risen the fact that very few people wait for such sales to get hold of great bargains. Since they can keep browsing through the online catalogs of these shops, there is no reason for them to wait for any particular sale season. Needless to say, the online stores too take advantage of this phenomena and offer discounts and various other offers in order to lure customers throughout the year. This ensures that great business for these stores no longer remain concentrated only during the shopping season, but is spread throughout the year.

Stores like Amazon offer lucrative deals for the customers almost every week, with special discounts and gifts during the festive season. Yet, that is not to say that this particular day will be fading in to obscurity. Mostly, because of the fact that the retailers like to keep alive the marketing hype that build up around this day. If even by a marginal percentage, this day brings in a few more customers than usual. Also, this day is fast catching up with Black Friday in the run for the best deals.
