Mar 18 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Aaron Zeff was quite shocked when two IRS agents in black suits showed up at his job demanding that he pay the back taxes he owed. He had no idea that he still owed taxes from four years ago.

Aaron Zeff, was at his car wash, Harv’s Metro Car Wash in Sacramento, California and busy with another day at work, when the two government workers approached him, ordering him to pay the amount that was in arrears. “They were deadly serious, very aggressive, very condescending,” says the Harv’s owner.

The agents hand delivered a letter to the on site manager of Harv’s which showed that they owed the feds a whopping total of 4 cents! Somehow, after all of the penalties which had built up over the last 4 years, the total inexplicably came up to $202.35.

Aaron Zeff said he finds the whole situation to be quite comical. “It’s hilarious,” he says, “that two people hopped in a car and came down here for just 4 cents. I think (the IRS) may have a problem with priorities.”

He said he has no idea how the original 4 cent debt grew to be so big. He also added that he had not been told that he owed anything for the last 4 years, nor has he ever had a late fee in the time he has owned Harv’s. In fact, he has a letter from the IRS in Oct.22,2009 stating Harv’s “has filed all required returns and addressed any balances due.” The IRS spokesman, Jesse Weller refused to comment sue to privacy and disclosure laws.
