Iraq: British hostage, Alan McMenemy, to be released
January 3rd, 2010 - 7:47 pm ICT by BNO News ( Leave a comment )LONDON (BNO NEWS) — Alan McMenemy, the last of five Britons captured and held hostage in Iraq since 2007, may soon be released, the Iraqi government said on Sunday.
A government spokesman said he could be released as early as next week, but provided no further details.
A spokeswoman for the UK Foreign Office in London said it was aware of the announcement, but had no further details.
