iowa-road-conditionsIowa, Nov 25, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The treacherous road conditions in Iowa are causing trouble to those people who are going to pay a thanksgiving visit to their friends and family. The met office earlier said that the weather will continue to be inclement and their forecast has proved to be true. The weather continues to be windy with very little sunshine in sight. The Iowa travel department issued a warning to the people taking the roads about slick roadways and the possibility of car tires skidding and causing accidents. A strange and bizarre accident however took place which took the motorists and drivers by surprise in Iowa. It happened on Tuesday. The blizzard and storms made the roads more accident prone.

A semi trailer overturned owing to the slick roads in Iowa and the pudding cups and jello packs it had got spilled on the road. However, the passengers and the driver did not receive any serious injuries. As per the information obtained from the department of Floyd County Sheriff the accident took place at Highway 27. The crew needed nearly three hours to clean the road of the jello and pudding. The driver of the car was Eric Young. The 39 year old South Carolina native could not control the vehicle on the slippery road and the cover of the trailer opened up resulting in the jello spilling all over the road.

The incident may sound funny to those who learnt the news but for the cleaning crews it was definitely not funny. The trailer had 52 pallets of delicious jello puddings and gelatin. Later on Tuesday some other serious accidents took place in various parts of Iowa.
