Aug 13 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Chef Christopher Turla was recently fined three hundred and thirty five dollars after he was video taped kissing and licking toads and even stuffing them in his mouth while working at the prep table of a Japanese restaurant where diners were eating unknowingly in the nearby dining room.

In fact no one would have ever known about the chef’s insanitary antics had his own brother not been nearby, video taping the entire incident which he later posted on YouTube, supposedly to get a laugh. The health department was notified and saw thw YouTube video, which led to the chef and restaurant getting a $335 fine.

Food inspector Lindsay Gorishek said to ‘WHOtv.com’ , “There were several violations committed during the video,” food inspector Lindsay Gorishek told WHOtv.com. “Toads carry several diseases and they also had them in their mouth and then back in their hands on the prep table.” Reportedly after having the frogs in his mouth, Christopher then placed them back onto the prep table, where onions are chopped and other foods are prepared.

According the the owner of the restaurant, however, there was no cause for alarm. He stated that the chef is “just a funny guy who needs some more training about restaurant sanitation.” According to the chef himself, “People that know me love my video and they think it was hilarious and will still come and see me,” he told me. “But for those who don’t know me, they’re probably grossed by it.”
