Investigators investigating the suspicious UPS package in the Philadelphia airport bomb case

Philadelphia, Oct 29 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The FBI quickly moved in to investigate a suspicious package that was on board a UPS plane that arrived at the Philadelphia International Airport on Friday. Authorities were alerted of the suspicious package by a crew of the plane that was arriving from Paris. Authorities are concerned after the crewmember reported potential radiological component among the packages that the plane was carrying.

The plane’s two occupants were exited from the plane safely when the plane arrived at the airport where police bomb squad and firefighters were waiting for the plane. The plane touched down shortly after 9 am local time. The incident however did not affect the smooth operations at the Philadelphia International Airport. Another UPS plane that was bound to leave the Philadelphia International Airport was scheduled to go ahead with its schedule and was not included in the initial investigations into the incident.

A statement from the UPS shortly after the incident revealed that the company is cooperating with the American authorities in their investigation into the incident. The Philadelphia police are investigating the incidence with assistance from the Homeland Security and the FBI.

The investigation continues.
