Interpol issues global terror alert if the Dove World Outreach Church burns Qurans on 9/11 anniversary
September 9th, 2010 - 11:36 pm ICT by Aishwarya Bhatt ( 1 comment )Sep 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Pastor Terry Jones may be burning the Holy Quran in a small town in Florida, United States but the effect of that action can be felt worldwide.
On Thursday, Interpol issued a warning to over 188 countries that if Pastor Terry Jones goes ahead and burns the Quran, then there is strong likelihood that innocent people will be attacked worldwide.
Pakistan has also issued similar warning to the Interpol. The country’s Interior Minister Rehman Malik contacted the General Secretary of Interpol, Ronald K. Noble on Thursday to warn other enforcement agencies worldwide to be on alert, if the planned Quran burning takes place on Saturday.
Interpol warned that though details of the exact nature of the attacks are not clear, if the Quran burning action takes place on Saturday, there may be “tragic consequences” that may claim several lives worldwide. Interpol issued its own warning along with that from Pakistan to all its member countries and advised them to contact the Interpol secretariat, if they receive any information of potential threat to public safety.
The General Secretary of Interpol also advised that September 11 should be a day the world comes together to fight terrorists and not a day terrorists should be given the tool to recruit more militants.
“One of INTERPOL’s primary functions is to prevent crime, and given that we have been made aware of a significant threat to public safety – an assessment which we share – it is our duty to ensure that we pass this information on to law enforcement agencies around the globe so that they can take appropriate measures. Although there are currently no specific details as to what forms of terror attacks would follow, what is clear is if the Koran burning goes ahead as planned, there will be tragic consequences, ones which may well claim the lives of many innocent people,” according to INTERPOL Secretary General Ronald K. Noble.
Many people have warned that Pastor Terry’s action may play into the hands of the terrorists who may use his intended action as a propaganda to get more people to accept their ideology.
It may be recalled that Pastor Terry Jones of the Dove Outreach Ministry says that he will burn Holy Qurans on the 9th anniversary of the September 11th attacks that took place in the United States. Despite severe pressure on him to rescind his decision, the Pastor has remain adamant and he says the planned Quran burning will go on.

I hope this comment gets to Pastor Terry Jones before September 11, 2010.
This note is addressed to Pastor Terry Jones of Doveworld Outreach Church, Florida.
Hello Terry Jones,
I a m a born-again christian, and I know that the weapons of the christian warfare are not carnal (Physical), but they can only be overcome by the power of the spirit of God.
if you truly believe in the power in the name of Jesus Cfhrist, then get down on your knees and pray for the salvation of whoever you think is a lost soul, rather than act blindly. it is only lack of faith in God that will make you abandon prayer and act violently instead.
if the muslims burn the bible, do you think it would please God? moreover, would you like to see such an act?
I think you should re-read the scriptures properly and find out what spirit is leading you into the action you are about to take (Qur’an burning).
N.B: the spirit of God is not violent but gentle. burning of Qur’an is a violent act, and it’s uncalled for.
do unto others what you want them to do unto you.
