Clark RockefellerMay 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The German man who called himself Clark Rockefeller and moved around in elite circles will have to spend more days in prison than he expected. His appeal to the superior court was rejected by the judge on Thursday. He was convicted in 2008 and sentenced to 4 to 5 years in prison for kidnapping his daughter of 7 years. The man used different aliases and interacted with the elite in New York, Boston and Los Angeles. He sometimes assumed the role of a physicist, sometimes a financial adviser, sometimes a ship captain and even an art collector.

Christian Gerhartsreiter, aka Clark Rockefeller, aka Christopher Chichester has a story that’s straight out of a Hollywood film but the long prison sentence is definitely not a happy ending. He reportedly came to the US in the 1970s and recently married Sandra Boss, a business executive. After the divorce, he kidnapped the daughter and was found a week later in Baltimore, with the girl unhurt.

His defense lawyers have argued that he is legally insane but Superior Court Justices Barbara Dortch-Okara, Wendie Gershengorn, and Peter Lauriat, who make up the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of Suffolk, took no time to reject the appeal this Thursday. They remained adamant that the sentence will not be altered or amended. He was also charged with assaulting a social worker who supervised his visits to his daughter after losing the custody battle with his wife. Christian Gerhartsreiter also married Amy Jersild Duhnke in 1981 so that he could get a green card and live in America. He reportedly left her one day after the wedding.
