Sep 13 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Igor could be categorized as a number 5 hurricane as a result of its speed being just 6 mph less than required for that category. The hurricane was around 900 miles east of the Leeward Islands with a speed of 13 mph in the west and with a wind speed of 150 mph. And in case the Igor manages to form into a Category 5 hurricane, then the intensity of the hurricane would also increase and in its wake it is bound to bring devastation also.

Experts believe Igor will be reaching Bermuda over the weekend and the east coast of the US will have to be wary of it.

In other news Julia, approached the eastern part of the Atlantic on Sunday night. Julia is anticipated to emerge as a category one Hurricane by Friday and move into the Atlantic from there. Currently it’s unknown where the storm will be heading from there.

The tenth tropical storm of the year, Julia was located 85 miles away from southwestern Cape Verde at 8 AM EDT and was traveling to the northwest at the speed of 14 mph with winds of 40 mph sustained. The National Hurricane Centre believes it has less than 50 percent chance of becoming a hurricane in the next two days.
