Forbes has listed the Icon FJ 45 as the costliest ever truck made in the USA. It is a military style truck with a long bed and the creator of the vehicle is Jonathan Ward. He made the truck with help from a company based in Los Angeles. He began working on this project after trying to restore the well known Land Rover platform. The car veterans are of the opinion that this costly truck is also among the most luxurious trucks ever made. In fact the comfort level of this truck can be compared with that of a premium hatchback or sedan. Its price tag also resembles that of a luxury sedan.
The Icon FJ 45 can be customized and the price of the model with basic configuration is $120,000. the USP of the truck is that it is very robustly built and can survive regular wear and tear. It is built of high quality metal and no plastic at all. Jonathan Ward says that the pick up truck offers the perfect blend of modern performance and classic styling. It is powered by a mighty V8 engine that delivers up to 450 HP. However, when using all this power is not required the users can resort to its turbo-diesel 4-cylinderengine which also supports bio-diesel.
The Icon FJ 45 also offers state of the art shock absorption mechanism and suspension package that makes ride on bumpy roads and rough terrains a cakewalk. The Icon FJ 45 is followed by Cadillac Escalade EXT Premium Collection truck which is the second most expensive truck in USA as of now.
