hutaree-arrestsjpgMay 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The release of the Hutaree militia members has created controversy in the legal circles in the USA. A Federal judge ordered their release on bonds and she also came down heavily on the claim of the government that the militia members conspired to bring down the U.S. government. It dealt a blow to the federal authorities. The members belonging to the southern Michigan group were arrested by the federal authorities in March and they were charged with severe complaints. Victoria Roberts, the U.S. District Judge decided to release the 9 people on bond after the detailed hearing.

The FBI agents and prosecutors tried to establish their view that the members belonging to the Hutaree group are violent and they are involved in anti government activities. The judge however ruled that the scornful recorded conversations do not necessarily prove that the Hutarees are hell bent on bringing down the government. She said even if the accused men and women conspired to kill local law enforcement officers or other branches of the government it does not indicate that they are waging a war against the government of USA.

The accused have been freed though they will be kept under electronic tracking. They have been asked to report to the court for paperwork. The veteran lawyers are divided over the action of the judge. The judge also expressed her displeasure with the recorded speech of the members and said that it was by no means compelling evidence. The weapons that were seized from the group by the FBI agents were mostly legal, the judge pointed out.
