Michigan, Apr 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) 45-year-old David Stone, the leader of the Christian militia group “Hutaree” reportedly liked to play with his toy soldiers more than any other thing which attracts a man of his age. The leader of the militia group, according to his brother Randall Stone, loved to play war games. The brother also said that though he repeatedly reminded his brother that it is time for him to grow up and divert his mind from the war games, David Stone had a fixation for the war games.
Randall Stone maintained that though his brother had a fixation with the war games, his could have never thought of him engaging in a real war against the law enforcement officials or the government as is being alleged. He said that for his brother it was always a child play and nothing as serious as is being alleged by the federal police. Randall Stone also asserted that the “live sentence” which would be meted to the leader if he is found guilty, is too strict for a person like David Stone.
The militia group “Hutaree” was recently raided by the police after reports claimed that they had been planning to kill a law enforcement officer and launch an extensive attack on the government. The government has reportedly found weapons, arms and ammunition from the “Hutaree” camp which it had raided. Bullet proof clothing along with explosives were also recovered from the camp. David Stone is allegedly accused by the government as the mastermind behind the whole attack and the plan.

Is this another weak attempt by the lazy media to tie violent and criminal activities to a fringe hobby? I guess Stone isn’t into heavy metal music or practicing Wicca?
Walter Cronkite also played wargames. I don’t think too many people would have considered him a violent and unstable individual.
