Hundreds of flights in northeast U.S. canceled due to winter storm
February 5th, 2010 - 3:04 pm ICT by BNO NewsDALLAS, TEXAS (BNO News) – Southwest Airlines is canceling all flights to and from Baltimore Washington International Airport and flights at Dulles International and Philadelphia International beginning Friday, Southwest Spokesman Paul Flaningan said Thursday.
Southwest expects to resume its flights Sunday morning, but “if the weather remains bad we will extend the cancellations,” Flaningan added.
Southwest customers will be able to reschedule their flights without extra fee, within the next fourteen days.
Continental Airlines also announced that flights in the Northeast U.S. may be affected because of the severe weather expected this weekend.
The Baltimore Sun said a spokesman of AirTran has not cancelled any flights at the moment, but the airline expects to make a decision before Friday.
