Howard County Public Schools Not To Dismiss Classes Completely

Dec 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Bad weather conditions in the Howard County has lead to some changes in the normal school routines. The changes that has been brought about by the schools in the Howard County is that they will in all chances go for an early dismissal of classes. On Thursday, all the public schools of the Howard County had to close down early since a heavy snow storm hit the area. It was the first major snow storm in the Howard County this season.
The snow storm has left the roads in an extremely dangerous position since traveling on the icy roads is no less dangerous. The snow filled roads pose a threat for drivers and vehicles which often succumb to the slippery roads. Weather department officials have pronounced that there still a lot of moisture on the roads. Taking note of the serious road conditions, National Weather Service have issued a warning notice to the Howard County as well as the neighboring Prince William County. They are predicting that another snow storm might just take place again. In case that turns out to be true, it will leave the roads covered under a snow layer of almost three inches.
However, Howard County public schools have announced that they will not remain fully closed for the day. A school spokesperson said that the students will be arriving for their classes at the usual time. However, the schools are likely to close down an hour before the actual time. Keeping in mind the harm that the bad weather may cause, school authorities have revealed that the post class activities will not be held.
