Houston Oil Executive Doug Schantz Mar 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A Houston Oil Executive, vanished Friday night at around 2 am, soon after leaving a bar on Bourbon Street in New Orleans. Since his credit cards nor his ATM card has been used, the New Orleans Police are suspecting foul play.

Doug Schantz, 54 is the President of Sequent Energy Management in Houston, TX. Schantz was recently staying at the Royal Sonesta Hotel with a few other oil execs. They had traveled to New Orleans to present a $25,000 gift to Tulane University. On Friday night Schantz was with a few colleagues at Club Razzoo in the 500 block of Bourbon Street. He left the club at around 2 am, and reportedly was partially captured on film by the nearby crime cameras. He has been missing ever since.

When Schantz did not meet his daughter later in the morning, as they had planned, she began a wide-scale search for him. She said it was not at all like him to not show up, and she knew immediately something was amiss. No one, the police nor his family, have any idea what could have happened to him.

A private Search and Recovery Team from Texas is now on the job, and joining in the search for Schantz. Equusearch, which is a company that has also joined in the search for Natalee Holloway has taken on the search for Schantz as well, according to their website.
