Houston, Mar 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Doug Schantz who is an energy executive with a Houston based company vanished in New Orleans, where he was on a business trip. He was last seen in a Bourbon Street bar on Friday, at around 2 am. The police are investigating the case, and think that there is some foul play involved in his disappearance, as his credit cards and the ATM card have not been used. The police and the company officials have searched for him, since the weekend. They have also taken the help of the private investigators, but to no avail. And as he has not been found, so he has been temporarily replaced in his company as well.
Doug Schantz was the president of the Sequent Energy Management prior to his disappearance. Peter Tumminello who is the executive vice president of Sequent has taken over Doug’s duties in his absence. It was also reported that he had also gone to Houston, because he wanted to make a personal donation to his daughter’s university. “This has been very, very difficult. Very emotional,” according to Mark Homestead, who occupies the post of the vice president of trading and marketing. He was also present with Doug, on the night he disappeared.
