Dubai, Dec 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Emirates Palace hotel which made headlines by unveiling what has been described as the most expensive Christmas tree has announced that they “regret” their actions.
The hotel announced that they feel that they allowed the holiday spirit to do the thinking for them when they spent £7 million to decorate a Christmas tree. It was a very expensive mistake.
The Christmas tree which was adored with all types and manners of precious stones and metals was unveiled last week. The hotel announced then that it wants the tree to be officially recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records officials as the most expensive Christmas tree in the world.
After the initial high wore off though, the hotel officials say they might have made a mistake by spending so much on a tree. The hotel management announced on the state news agency WAM that it did not want to show but wanted to boost the Christmas mood of the visitors that might stay at the hotel. The management however admitted that they did “attempt to overload” the tree.
The hotel did not state what will happen to the tree after the Christmas.
