June 14 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A company based in Vietnam is very thankful that the cab which was taken by a forgetful employee has an honest man behind the wheel, since the employee left a bag containing $26,500 in the back seat where they had ridden.

A human resources officer who works for Cuu Long Petro Gas Service Transportation JSC in Ho Chi Minh City by the name of Nguyen Thi Thuy Lien stated that the employee had left the bag in the car sometime during last week. Aside from the money, there were also several very important documents, and the cash was in three different currencies.

Once he realized the bag containing the money and paperwork was missing, the passenger who had left it behind called the cab company immediately. The driver, Doan Thanh Xuan who was only 23 years old, heard the call, and checked his car. Thankfully, the bag was still there, and had not been taken by any other passengers which he may or may not have had. He returned the bag unopened to the company, and was given a $100 reward for his honesty.

Since the average monthly income in Vietnam is about 80 US dollars, a 100 dollar reward was quite nice in itself.
