Home-made bomb injures five children in India’s Kanpur district
March 10th, 2010 - 11:22 pm ICT by BNO NewsLUCKNOW, INDIA (BNO NEWS) — Five young children were injured when a home-made bomb exploded near the Indian city of Lucknow on Wednesday, reports said.
The explosive device went off in a garbage dump in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur district, some 80 kilometers from Lucknow. The blast injured four boys and one girls, Thaindian News reported on its website. “All five children, aged between 6-12 years, who are rag pickers were injured when the bomb hidden in garbage in the Naubasta town went off this afternoon,” said inspector Harpal Singh.
