Holly Washa’s Murderer Cal Brown Executed

Sep 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) They say justice can be delayed, but it can never be denied. Cal Brown was convicted in 1993 for the 1991 kidnapping, rape and murder of Holly Washa of Burien. On Friday, the authorities in the US state of Washington executed him by lethal injection.
The Washington State Department of Corrections released a statement after Cal Brown’s death where it was maintained that the convict was executed by lethal injection, which was carried out at 12:56 am at the Washington State Penitentiary in Walla Walla. A reputed media source reported that Cal Brown had spend more than 16 years on death row after his 1993 conviction for rape and first degree murder of 21 year old Holly Washa. During his trial Cal Brown’s attorney said that the reason for the murder was convict’s own mental problems, however, the judge was not moved by the excuse of the attorney. The police reported that Cal Brown abducted Holly Washa at a highway near Seattle, he then tortured and raped her for two days in a motel and then stabbed and strangled her. This gruesome murder took place in 1991.
After murdering Holly Washa, Cal Brown escaped to California. A reputed media source reported that Cal Brown assaulted another women there and after that the police arrested him. At that time, when police interrogated him, he confessed that he murdered Holly Washa. After the long awaited execution Holly Washa’s father, John Washa said in one of his statements that he feels better after the justice. No family member of Cal Brown was present yesterday. The media reports that Cal Brown’s last meal request was pizza, apple pie, and Root Beer. However, then he changed his mind and had coffee and milk.
